Miss Operation Med SchoolNew Westminster

Miss BC allows me the opportunity to inspire women to explore their interests, discover their passions and work hard for their successes. I am excited to participate in a pageant that shifts the focus to inner beauty and kind-heartedness. Miss BC empowers all women to strive for personal success and realize their goals. The inclusivity endorsed by Miss BC creates a platform for women to come together to support and celebrate each other’s success.

For me, striving for success has meant pursuing a medical career. While applying for medical school, I am working with BC Emergency Health Services as an Emergency Medical Call Taker, answering medical 911 calls. On my days off, I spend time with friends, read books and help establish initiatives like the Campus Emergency Response Team at UBC. I also help with Operation Med School (OMS), a registered non-profit I founded when I was sixteen. OMS hosts annual medical conferences in Canada and the USA. The aim of the conferences is to allow high school students to explore their opportunities within the field of medicine and be able to decide for themselves whether this career path is their passion.

When we discover our passions, we are inspired to strive for success.
